4Drive Jordan is a booking platform that connects customers with local rental companies operating across the country. We handle the search and reservation process, while the actual vehicle handover, rental agreement, and support come from the partner company in your chosen city.
Our team is based in Abdali, Amman. We work with established operators in key locations to give you access to a range of vehicles, from compact sedans for city trips to 4x4 pickups for desert tracks and mountain passes. Each rental company manages its own fleet, so the exact vehicle model, insurance terms, and payment requirements are confirmed at the time you book.
We focus on Jordan because the terrain and distances here demand specific vehicle types. A two-wheel-drive hatchback suits the highways between Amman and Madaba. A part-time 4WD pickup is better for gravel roads leading into Wadi Rum or the climbs around Dana Reserve. We list what each operator offers and let you choose based on your route.
The booking process has four stages. First, you search by location and dates. Our system shows available vehicles from partner companies in that area, along with details like transmission type, drivetrain, seating capacity, and payment methods accepted for the balance.
Second, you pay a booking advance online using a debit or credit card. This secures your reservation. The advance amount is deducted from the total rental cost.
Third, you receive a voucher by email. It contains the rental company's name, contact details, pickup address, and instructions for collection. The voucher also states which payment methods the company accepts for the remaining balance.
Fourth, you collect the vehicle. Pickup may be at a desk, at the airport terminal, or by delivery to your hotel, depending on the operator. You sign the rental agreement on site, inspect the vehicle for existing damage, and settle the balance using the method specified in your voucher. The rental company provides a contact number for roadside assistance during your hire period.
We work with rental companies in seven cities and towns. Amman is the largest hub, serving both the capital and Queen Alia International Airport. Aqaba covers the Red Sea coast and access to Wadi Rum. Petra serves the archaeological site and surrounding villages.
Madaba is the gateway to Mount Nebo and the Madaba Plains. Suwaymah sits near the Dead Sea resorts. Irbid serves the north, close to Umm Qais and Ajloun Forest Reserve. Jerash is a smaller station near the Roman ruins.
Each location has different vehicle availability. Amman and Aqaba stock the widest selection, including 4x4 pickups and SUVs. Smaller towns may have fewer options but can arrange delivery from a nearby base if you book ahead.
Some of the vehicles we list are available without a deposit hold on your card. This means the rental company does not block funds as a security measure when you collect the vehicle. The excess or deductible on the insurance policy remains in place, but no temporary hold is applied to your account balance.
Not every vehicle qualifies. The no-deposit option depends on the specific car and the operator's policy. You will see this detail on the search results page and in your voucher. If you prefer to avoid a card hold, filter results to show only no-deposit vehicles.
For those vehicles that do require a deposit, the hold is released when you return the car undamaged. If you do not have a credit card, we recommend checking your debit card's daily transaction limit before booking and asking your bank to raise it temporarily if needed.
