Secure online payments and flexible options at pickup
When you book with 4Drive Jordan, you pay a booking advance online by card to confirm your reservation. Cash payments are not accepted online. The advance amount is shown during the booking process and is deducted from the total rental cost. You receive a voucher by email with all the details.
The remaining balance is due when you collect the vehicle. The payment method for the balance depends on the specific car you have selected. The voucher states clearly whether you can pay by debit card, cash, or if a credit card is required. Not all vehicles accept all payment methods, so check the details before you finalise your booking.
All payments at pickup are made directly to the local rental company listed on your voucher. The rental agreement is signed at that point, and any additional services - second driver, child seat, or written permission for crossing into Israel - are charged separately if you choose them.
We accept major international card networks for the online booking advance. Your card details are processed through a secure payment gateway, and the transaction appears on your statement shortly after you complete the booking.
The online advance is charged immediately when you confirm the booking. Make sure your card has sufficient funds or available credit limit before you start the process.
The balance due at pickup can be settled by debit card or cash, provided the specific vehicle you booked permits that method. Some cars require a credit card for the balance. The voucher you receive after booking lists the allowed payment methods for your vehicle, so there are no surprises when you arrive.
All amounts at pickup are in Jordanian dinars. The local rental company accepts cash in JOD or cards issued in any currency - your bank or card network handles the conversion. If you plan to pay cash, ensure you have enough JOD on hand, as currency exchange facilities may not be immediately available at every pickup point.
If the vehicle requires a credit card and you do not have one, consider raising the limit on your debit card. Many banks allow temporary limit increases for travel. Requirements depend on the individual car, not on the class or category, so always verify the details shown during the booking process.
Many vehicles on our platform carry a "no deposit" label. This means the rental company does not block funds on your card as a security hold when you collect the vehicle. No deposit does not affect the excess or damage waiver - those remain part of the rental terms and are separate considerations.
Some no-deposit cars also accept debit cards or cash for the balance, which removes the need for a credit card entirely. Check the payment requirements displayed for each car during your search. These requirements vary from one vehicle to another, even within the same class.
If you do not have a credit card and the car you want requires one, contact your bank to request a temporary increase to your debit card limit. This can cover both the balance and any security hold if applicable. You can also filter your search to show only vehicles that accept debit cards or cash and carry no deposit requirements.
If the car you book does require a deposit, the rental company will place a temporary hold on your card when you pick up the vehicle. The hold amount and the refund timeline are stated in the booking details and on your voucher. The deposit is not handled by 4Drive Jordan - the local rental company manages the hold and the release of funds.
Refund times depend on your card issuer. Most banks release holds within a few working days after the rental company processes the refund, but some take up to two weeks. If you notice a delay beyond the period stated in your voucher, contact the rental company directly using the details provided in your booking confirmation.
Damage or missing fuel at return can result in deductions from the deposit. The rental company documents the vehicle condition at pickup and return in the rental agreement, which you sign. Any charges are explained before they are applied, and you receive an itemised statement.
Cancellation policies vary depending on the car and the rental company. Many bookings offer free cancellation up to a certain number of hours or days before pickup. The exact terms are shown during the booking process and are printed on your voucher.
If you cancel within the free cancellation window, we refund the booking advance to the card you used for payment. Refunds typically appear within five to ten working days, depending on your card issuer. If you cancel outside the free period, cancellation fees may apply as stated in the terms you accepted when booking.
To cancel, log in to your booking using the reference number and email address, or contact us at [email protected]. We process cancellations promptly and send confirmation by email. For more details on cancellation terms, see our terms and conditions page.
All online card payments are processed through an encrypted payment gateway that meets international security standards. We do not store your card details on our servers. The payment provider tokenises sensitive information, so your card number and security code are never held in our systems.
Your transaction is protected by the same security measures used by banks and financial institutions worldwide. Look for the padlock symbol in your browser address bar when you enter payment details. This confirms that the connection is secure and that data cannot be intercepted during transmission.
If you have questions about a payment or notice an unexpected charge, contact us at [email protected] or visit our office at Abdali, Amman, Jordan, Monday to Sunday between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM (GMT+3). You can also find more information on our FAQ page or reach out via the contact form.
No. You must pay the booking advance online by card to confirm your reservation. Cash is not accepted for online payments. The balance at pickup can be paid in cash only if the specific vehicle you booked allows it, as stated on your voucher.
Not always. Many no-deposit vehicles also accept debit cards or cash for the balance. Check the payment requirements shown for each car during booking. Requirements depend on the individual vehicle, not the category.
If you cancel within the free cancellation period, the advance is refunded to your card within five to ten working days, depending on your card issuer. Cancellation terms are shown during booking and on your voucher.
No deposit means the rental company does not block funds as a security hold. The payment method for the balance is a separate requirement and depends on the specific car. Some no-deposit vehicles still require a credit card for the balance, while others accept debit cards or cash.
The deposit hold is managed by the local rental company, not by 4Drive Jordan. Refund timelines are stated on your voucher and typically range from a few days to two weeks after the rental ends, depending on your bank. Contact the rental company if the refund is delayed beyond the stated period.
